Overhaul of thermal plants

Albini Energia helped the customer to identify what energy saving measures could be taken and overhaul the old diathermic oil evaporators in the company textiles finishing department.
Given the type of production and customer requirements, the following actions were proposed:

• A reduction in thermal plant power.
• The installation of smoke tube boilers with economisers that preheat the feed water.

The solutions have optimised thermal plant efficiency by increasing it from 85% to 95% and enabling the customer to obtain 220 Energy Efficiency Credits (EEC) per year and save €120,000 by eliminating the power consumption required by the old pumps.
